Workshop: Creating Bespoke Search Experiences Using Microsoft PnP Search and Clever Design

Friday, April 24th,Workshop Hours: 9 am – 4 pm

Microsoft search is powerful, intelligent, and personalized. It is predictive, contextual and standardized yet there are still a number of use cases where it doesn’t meet our tailored, site-specific or targeted search need.

In this session we look at a number of real-life examples of PnP search filling the gap in the modern digital workplace. From knowledge libraries to an employee directory, policy search, a news archive and no search results displaying select content with more advanced styling options, there will be something here for everyone.

Taking a hands-on approach, we will explore:
– Best practice approach to designing the search experience
– What a number of organizations have done using PnP search (take inspiration from others)
– Designing an employee directory with custom profile displays and filters – perfect for complex tenancies with multiple regions or businesses
– Policy search – scoped by content type, custom filters, custom card results display and custom sort order
– Displaying content with advanced styling options
– Building a news archive search
